On Thursday 28th, at the Gilitos Cultural Centre, the cycle will be inaugurated by the American singer Lauren Henderson, one of the latest vocal promises of jazz, from which her training starts, to expand to other styles such as Latin, neo-soul, gospel or new flamenco. She will be accompanied by a top-notch band, with David Sancho on piano, the Italian Elio Coppola on drums and our own José Agustín Guereñu “Gere” on bass.

Completing the programme that day is the multi-award-winning bassist from La Mancha, David Ruíz, a musician who came to jazz from rock, flamenco and blues. His first album, “Where we come from”, which he presents here, is a mixture of world music and cultures, from a modern jazz point of view.
